The first permanent settlers here were the Hohokam, a skillful farming people who moved into our valley shortly after A.D. 600. The Sinagua moved into the valley about 1125 and made their homes high up in these ancient cliffs and farmed along these same banks of Beaver Creek. Just 1.5 miles downstream, the ruins of a five-story, 21 room adobe structure remains intact today, standing as the centerpiece of the Montezuma Castle National Monument.
Late 1800's brought homesteaders to these same beautiful shores. The stagecoach crossed this property on its way from Prescott to Sedona and Flagstaff. Your hosts have loved and lived in the Verde Valley for 27 years and are dedicated to making your stay both fun and memorable. Our staff stands ready to assist you with reservations, directions, and suggestions regarding any of the numerous activities and attractions just minutes away.
"What a delightful, serene, beautiful setting - so close to all the vistas of the Verde Valley and Sedona but far from the maddening crowd! The retreat setting fit our need to escape, yet we could enter the "outside" world so easily and come back to our beautiful room for r&r and the best breakfast around."
